There is no surprise in the fact that every bride wants to have as much attention as she can get on her D-Day. But not many use this day to get that much-wanted world recognition; case in point, a Chinese bride who walked down the aisle flaunting the world’s longest wedding trail. Well, this bride can say bye-bye to her short-lived fame as Romania’s Andree Salon fashion house has unveiled a 1.85-mile-long ivory train.

Floating high above a main boulevard in Romania’s capital on Tuesday, this piece of bridal attire was recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the longest wedding train in the world. The train, which took 100 days to stitch, was crafted by a team of 10 seamstresses. 4,700 meters of taffeta, 5.5 meters of Chantilly lace, 45 meters of lining, 1,857 sewing needles and 150 spool threads went into making this train. The lace was imported from France, while the taffeta and other fabrics were purchased from Italy, costing approximately $7950.

Wedding dress with Peacock tail feathers worth $1.5 million

This wedding dress has become every girl’s dream. Priced at $1.5 million, the brocade dress has been adorned with 2009 peacock tail feathers and 60 Hetian jades, all of which took eight handicraftsmen two months to finish!

David Tutera unveiled his special platinum wedding gown at the grand finale of the “David Tutera by Faviana” wedding dress collection runway show on September 22, 2009 at Gotham Hall in New York City.

Priced at $501,640, this dress is bathed in jewelry including a 10 feet of platinum chain, 33 carats of diamonds, 145.84 carats of aquamarine, white keshi pearls and topped with a stunning white south sea pearl pendant suspended from platinum. What’s more, the dress also comes with a matching platinum-colored tulle veil and bouquet.

Diamond-encrusted abayas priced at $55,000

Two stunningly embellished, ultra luxury abayas designed by UAE national Afra Al Ghafli for Oshia Fashion Design were unveiled at the Bride Show Abu Dhabi. This wedding dress consists of an amalgamation of diamonds, crystals, cultured pearls, turquoise and silver discs embellishments on the natural black silk fabric.

Designer Al Ghafli is planning to present one of the abayas to Her Highness Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, wife of the late H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and president of UAE Women’s Association.

Priced at $55,000, this wedding dress assures future brides to look ravishingly beautiful on the big day.

Swarovski-studded ‘Crystal Dream’ wedding dress priced at $40, 800

Wedding dress creator Cosmina Englezian has hand stitched a dress that is an amalgamation of 40-meters of lace and 55 thousand pearls and Swarovski crystals.

The dress has been dubbed Crystal Dream’ and is priced at $40, 800. All those would-be brides who love an extravagant wedding can make their dreams come true with wonderful creation. Needless to say, the price deserves to be overlooked!

Wedding gown with the longest train in the world

Displayed at the E-Marriage Fest wedding fair in Bucharest, this wedding gown is for big weddings. It is known for its length as this gown with a train is 1,579 meters long (5,180 ft), which makes it the longest in the world. The train of the wedding dress is decked with 7,000 Swarovski crystals and the dress was completed in 70 days. Designed by‚  Romanian designer Ioana Comanescu of the Å”Il Creatore bridal shop the gown comes for US $5,135.
