The tag of being the world’s second largest luxury market on China has been justified as it is the same country in which maximum amount of Rolls Royce is being sold. It is an attempt to satiate the country’s hunger to reign as the supreme power. China is being officially announced as the country that has bought the most Roll Royce in 2011. This move has toppled U.S. from its number one position for the first time. We all know the fact that Rolls-Royce is renowned for building luxury cars for the rich and famous. The leading auto brand has already announced the Year of Dragon Rolls Roycemodel. This latest shift as asserted that China is in top gear to outshine as the country that strives on everything that is the most expensive and luxurious. Though official numbers are not yet out, it is reported that as of June of 2011, Asia Pacific led the world in Rolls sales growth. While sales in North American grew 40%, sales in Asia/Pac grew 170%.
The 2012 US Presidential race will be the most expensive
Another Presidential election is all geared up in the US. The race is getting hotter than ever before. Although the economy is dwindling President Obama is making this the most expensive presidential race in its time as he has risen close to $200 million already for his re-election in 2012. Daily Mail reported that Obama raised around $155 million through September and with $60 million more in the final quarter of 2011. Other candidates aren’t far behind either. Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, and Ron Paul have managed to collect well over the $10 million mark before 2011 ends. The Daily Mail adds that Romney has managed a neat $32.2 million; Perry has raised $17.2 million while Ron Paul has raised $12.6 million.
6 year old boy wins world’s most expensive mince pie in a raffle
Not even food was exempted from the most expensive league. Here is the mince pie which was lately tagged for the same. The US$ 4,700 worth mince pie was won by 6 year old boy called Mukund in a raffle at the Marvellous Mince Pie Manufactory at The Exchange shopping centre in Ilford, East London. The pie delicacy here was created by 25-year-old luxury food designer Andrew Stellitano using vanilla beans and cinnamon from eastern spice markets. It was then decorated with platinum leaf and sugar made from whale excrement. The pastry here is bound together with holy water from Lourdes. With such exotic ingredients, eating something like this would definitely be a once-in-lifetime opportunity for one’s taste buds.

In the year 2008, he got hold of Donald Trump’s 33,000 sq ft Maison L’Amitie for $95 million. This purchase knocks off the record $53million that J. Christopher Flowers paid for the Harkness Mansion in 2006.The property has been sold by Citigroup CEO Sandy Weill and his wife Joan, who paid $42.4million for the property. The sale proceeds will go for charity.
