Billionaire George Roberts’ California Ranch
A beautiful estate which has been spread over 10,000 acres of premium vineyard, agricultural, and grazing land in California’s San Benito River Valley, Stone Canyon Ranch has been listed for sale via an affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate for $32 million.
This massive and huge yet lavish estate was taken up by billionaire financier George R. Roberts, one of the three original partners of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co., in the mid-1990s for his late wife Leanne, an award-winning equestrienne and horse breeder. World-class standards in landscaping, construction, and is also equipped with facilities for keeping horses.
Ugo Sap designed two compounds on the estate comprising a main residence, guest quarters, five separate horse barns, two riding arenas, two training arenas, and a hay barn. Sap situated the estate to provide incredible views, maximum privacy and harmony with the natural surroundings.
The very fare and key features of the property is the fact that it has the enlisted things at its disposal. Key features are the wine cellar, library and a large master-bedroom suite with two bathrooms and a study.
The property is encrusted with the ranch’s slate roof tiles are from France, Italy limestone flooring is from, and the trellises are made of Alaskan cedar. A Hidden Hills, California estate, called the Old Lion Manor’, has been listed at $8.65 million, as compared to the earlier staggering price of $27.5 million. This estate was once owned by “The Exorcist” author William Peter Blatty.
