Microship solar-powered micro-trimaran on Sale

Microship solar-powered micro-trimaran

Steven Roberts is looking for a geeky yet adventurous owner for his custom pedal/wind/solar-powered micro-trimaran called Microship. Roberts is himself really into technology and loves to go on adventures. The man got too bored of life and then one day decided to make his own recumbent bicycle and pedalled it across continental America.

But since he is a freelance writer, he needs some device to write, store and transmit his work. The result was the Winnebiko, which was moderately laden bike. He improved this model and the result was the Winnebiko II. If that wasnt enough, he then created the monstrous580-pound BEHEMOTH. It stands for Big Electronic Human-Energized Machine just so you know.

In 1992, he got hooked to kayaking and decided to create his own super kayak. He managed to get a deal with the University of California, San Diego, in which he would get to use their facilities and in return engineering students would be allowed to assist him. The first design was that of a large central tandem kayak with two smaller kayaks joined to it by crossbeams, to serve as outriggers.

Pet Friendly Hotels in San Diego Region

Pet Friendly Hotel

Christine Bishop, a resident of downtown San Diego had shifted to Hotel Solamar with her two Shih Tzu dogs. To her surprise her dogs were not only welcome in the hotel but were treated like prince. Her three year old boys as she calls her pets loved the stay so much that they instinctively tug at their lease whenever she walks past the hotel with them.

Bishop, an accountant now regularly returns to the hotel with her pets as she says they are treated like guests. They greet you by your name and also greet the dogs. I don’t think I can stay at a hotel now that do not allow dogs. This sentiment is fast spreading in the US. People prefer traveling with their pets as very often they are treated like children. There are surveys that prove this point hence the hoteliers are also changing their policies to accommodate this need to augment their occupancy.

In San Diego itself there are 80 pet friendly hotels listed on web sites. The numbers have increased dramatically in the last five years. Increasingly, upscale and boutique properties are trying to outdo one another with deluxe pet amenities and you would even find lists like top ten pet friendly hotels.
