Mobiado Grand Touch Aston Martin phone
Mobiado has added yet another mobile phone to its new Aston Martin collection. Tagged as the Grand Touch Aston Martin, the smartphone sports a precision CNC machined body created using solid aircraft aluminium which has been anodized for everyday usage. The body surface has been created with “curves to straight line edges, a process that can only be executed with the precision of CNC machining”. There is also a gold version where the CNC machined is made from solid brass and plated with yellow or rose gold.
The collection is directly on the mother of pearl (MOP) or ebony wood is inset below the surface to create the right details of depth. The back panel covering the battery has been crafted from a single piece of sapphire crystal and the phone is finished with are gun metal black stainless steel screws and black painted sapphire crystal buttons.
New York’s Most Luxurious Penthouse Suite
New York’s Four Seasons hotel has priced its Warner Penthouse suite at $35,000 a night. Apart from a butler and a personal trainer the guest staying in the suit is entitled to unlimited use of all the amenities provided by the hotel.
The 4,300 square feet penthouse has a master bedroom, living room and library. The master bedroom has king-sized Hastens Vividus mattress which are handmade in Sweden and cost about $60,000. There are several other rooms in the suite for dressing, breakfast, powdering and meditation. The suite boasts of the largest glass sliding door ever made. The class of the decor is highlighted by the use of original paintings and sculpture. Mother of pearl, Tiger’s eye and soft calf skin leather has been used to decorate the walls.
The guest in the suite is sure to be overwhelmed by the service. All spa treatment and fine dining selections are offered as part of the suite experience. The guest has a guaranteed table reservation at the hotel restaurant L’Atelier de Joel Robuchon. A chauffer driven Rolls Royce or a Maybach car is at the service of the guest 24—7 for unlimited use. Even the calls made from the suite are not billed and the guest is free to make any number of international calls during his stay.
Van Cleef & Arpels Cadrans Extraordinaires Animal Watches
The new dial creations Van Cleef & Arpels has in store for everyone. They have an ongoing collection they call the “Cadrans Extraordinaires” which refer to the dials being… extraordinary. Last year a major theme of the dials was Butterflies. This year, for the lady’s models, animals are still in. The focus is on the Arctic and the Africa. The dials are really incredible works of art. Each represents hand-engraved 18k white gold figurines and scenery skillfully done using precious materials and complex processes. The watches are 38mm wide in 18k white gold cases with diamond decoration.
This will be a visual journey through the collection. Don’t forget that the dials take a lot of time to complete. Some of the animal characters look better than others, but the backgrounds are universally stunning. There is an amazing amount of color and depth to them, especially because they rely on a lot of enameling and mother-of-pearl.
One other theme that is important to note is the concept of mother and child. Each of these dials has a mother animal with her young. The idea is to have the watch owners acquire the pieces and think of their children when wearing the watches. Each of these Van Cleef & Arpels watches is limited to just 22 pieces and contains manually wound Swiss mechanical movements.

Biggest auction of Michael Jackson’s property in June
Michael Jackson’s lavish furniture from his 32-bedroom London mansion will be up for auction in Las Vegas on June 25.
The collection includes around 22 piece of custom made furniture – a pair of red velvet armchairs embroidered with eagles (estimated at $57,000-$60,000), a parcel gilt ebonized wood writing desk with mother of pearl inlay, and French gold bathed brass elements, finished with an antiqued patina finƒsh (eimated at $120,000) and a wooden-carved, red velvet sofa with 24-carat gold leaf that seats 9 estimated at $150,000 ” all of which have been made by Colombostile Artisans.
Apart from furniture, the other items that will also be auctioned include the signed jacket he wore for his hit ŔBeat It, the iconic jeweled Swarovski crystal glove (estimated at $30,000), and sunglasses ($3000).
‚ The auction will also feature an exhibition recreating Michael Jackson’s Kent home at Newbridge Silverware’s Museum of Style Icons in Ireland from March 16-May 30.
