Jimmy Choo is celebrating the 15th anniversary of the icon shoe and accessory brand, by publishing a coffee table book: Jimmy Choo XV. The luxurious Jimmy Choo Chronicles presents fifteen of their most recognizable shoe designs since the companies launch in 1996. Also included are studio design sketches, red carpet shots, behind the scenes fashion photography, past advertising campaigns and a host of stunning editorials.
It is also 100% of the proceeds go towards the Jimmy Choo Foundation “” which raises money for women charities “” making it both stylish and worthwhile. The high-fashioned book will be made available at booksellers across the globe in February of 2012.
Versace for H&M Lookbook

H&M has released the first official campaign visuals for its design collaboration with Versace, starring models of the moment Daphne Groeneveld and Lindsey Wixson.

Lensed by photographer duo Mert & Marcus, the images give a first impression of Versace’s greatest hits-inspired collection due to hit stores in November. The range, which includes both men’s and women’s styles, as well as home accessories, “will look back on the heritage of the brand, full of leather, print, colour and exuberance in exclusive materials,” H&M said.

A second collection, also designed by Donatella Versace, will become available in January. Past designers who have collaborated with H&M include Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Comme des Garons, Jimmy Choo, Sonia Rykiel, and Lanvin.
Jimmy Choo enters the world of fragrances

The brand is ready to expand its borders as they believe that the right shoes and fragrance are the two must have accessories for a woman. Tamara Mellon, founder and chief creative officer of Jimmy Choo, unveiled the new scent for women during a press event in London on October 22. Mellon said that,”I’d wanted to do a fragrance from the beginning of Jimmy Choo. I want to accessorize a woman completely and fragrance is something a woman wears every day “” it goes on her skin.” Seems this dream is about to come true.
The fragrance which will be simply named “Jimmy Choo” will have top notes of pear nectar and sweet italian orange mixed with tiger orchid and Indonesian patchouli. It was composed by perfumer Olivier Polge of International Flavors & Fragrances.It was created by Inter Parfums, which also distributes Burberry, Lanvin and Paul Smith scents. The collection will initially launch in eau de parfum form, along with ancillary products such as a body lotion and shower gel.

China expansion for Jimmy Choo

Jimmy Choo founder Tamara Mellon hopes to open up to 50 stores in China over the next five years in what she dubbed an “exciting” market for high-end goods. China is the world’s fastest-growing market for luxury products and an ongoing economic boom is creating new billionaires every year in a huge explosion in wealth.
Jimmy Choo currently has just two shops in China “” one in Beijing and another in Shanghai. A third will open at the end of the year in the eastern city of Nanjing.
According to Mellon, China business has increased 100 percent in the last year on the existing locations we have. The British firm would open at least 30 stores in China by 2016. But the potential over the next five years could be up to 50.
Jimmy Choo has just 40 stores across the United States. As per Forbes magazine, this month that China had a total of 146 billionaires this year “” up 14 percent from 2010, and second only to the United States with 413. The brokerage firm CLSA said that China would account for 44% of worldwide sales of luxury goods by 2020 “” bigger than the entire global market is now.
