Buckingham Palace may turn into a hotel and a museum

Prince of Wales is contemplating moving the Royal family from their home at Buckingham Palace. This may take place only when he will be crowned as the King. The famous landmark could be transformed into a museum, as claimed by Mr Andrew Marr in his book on the legendary family. This BBC broadcaster says the court will move to Windsor Castle to give way for a possible conversion of the palace into a historical hotel or museum. However, a speaker for the Clarence House clearly denied all statements related to this possible shift. The book The Diamond Queen: Elizabeth II and Her People makes other big claims including the Queen wish to abdicate her throne for her son. Sources have not confirmed such a transformational move.

Garden Grove Embassy Suites to be the world’s biggest
GARDEN GROVE Embassy Suites hotel got the thumbs-up from City Council members to go ahead with its plan to add a 17-story hotel tower, which would make it the biggest Embassy Suites in the world and one of the tallest buildings in the Harbor Corridor.
The council on Tuesday voted 5-0 in favor of an agreement with developer Landmark Hospitality LLC, which proposed building the addition with 238 rooms and about 50,000 square feet of banquet and meeting space. Councilman Mark Rosen said these improvements will put Garden Grove and especially Embassy Suites on the resort map.
Embassy Suites is part of the city-designated InternationalWest resort area on Harbor Boulevard where city officials envision shops, restaurants, more hotels and possibly a theme park. The cluster of hotels on Harbor generates about $12.5 million annually for the city. At the same meeting, Council members put off a vote to enter into an agreement with JPI to develop the Brookhurst Triangle.
Istanbul’s 7-Story Underwater Hotel

Visitors to Istanbul will soon have a chance to view the most spectacular ocean views on the planet. A seven floor, seven-star hotel is being built underwater on what was formerly a tobacco factory.
There will be exhibition halls, and restaurants, and all rooms will be sea facing.This isn’t the first such underwater hotel complex in the world. That honor goes to the $500 million Poseidon Hotel which is currently being built off Fiji. The Istanbul hotel differs in that it is being built under the city center, which should make for an interesting experience.
A Louis Vuitton Store Inside a Marriott

Hotels are slowly moving beyond the bar, nightclub and restaurant trend to add some hip retail spaces in their properties.
Of course, this is nothing new as some hotels have been doing this already for a long time. But what is news is the report of a Louis Vuitton store opening inside the JW Marriott Bucharest Hotel.
The store will open in June and offer customers the standard LV leather goods as well as the opportunity to design their own travel trunk based on their “requirements and taste.”
As for why LV would open in a Marriott, international senior VP for LV said : “We looked on Calea Victoriei and on other boulevards in Bucharest but chose the Marriott because it is a visually safe and controlled environment, where you know who your neighbours are and do not risk having a sex shop open next door.”

The Morgan Plaza is a super-luxury 7 star hotel under construction in Beijing, China. Although it was set to be finished last month’s, there has been no official confirmation of it completion yet but it definitely going to be completed in time for the Beijing Olympics.When completed it is rumoured to be possibly more luxurious than the Burj Al Arab and has been considered to be the official landmark of China, still in competition with the Shanghai World Financial Center.
