Rolling Stone Restaurant and Lounge Ready for Grand Opening

In the modern world of consumerism a brand is built around a name and the name becomes the core of the product. For the first time the Rolling Stone name has been licensed for a U.S. restaurant. There is lot of curiosity and excitement about the new venture and the consensus is that the end result must justify the name.

The restaurant and lounge, located at Hollywood and Highland debuted on the American Music Awards night with a VIP party. It will open to the public on February 1. Designer Gavin Brodin has created the ambience to translate the magazine’s trademark into a Los Angeles restaurant and lounge. The designer says that elements of the British travel lounges and elements of the Paris of 1870s have been incorporated in the design.

The restaurant and the lounge is spread over two floors in a total of 10,500-square-foot of space. The lobby is on the second level with an antique floor cart salvaged from an old citrus factory that serving as the reception desk. The dining room has space for 140 diners. The room is lit by street lamps and custom-made crystal chandeliers. Larger-than-life images of famous musicians are hammered into the concrete walls.
