Easter is almost there thus the world of luxury is all set to welcome the same in all swing. The Fabergé Big Egg Hunt is geared to hog on the limelight, but before that there is something very intewresed who have a narrow scope of winning. Roja Parfums has teamed up with Fabergé to launch a limited edition bottle of the Roja Parfums Diaghilev scent that will be offered along with a Fabergé white gold and diamond egg pendant called the Oeuf Duchesse Blanc.

The limited edition fragrance features top notes of Diaghilev by Roja Parfums made up of bergamot, lemon and orange, while base notes include oak moss, patchouli and vanilla. The 100ml perfume bottle is priced at $22,700, and will be available at Harrods and Roja Parfums. With brands such as DKNY’s million dollar perfume bottle, Angel Collector Superstar perfume bottle, Glass perfume bottle chess set, Mercedez-Benz and, Bond No 9 already out with impressive collectibles, and this one seems to be in for a tough competition.

UK’s Harrods, the upscale departmental store has unveiled a new technology department that is putting a 152” Panasonic television on sale. The TH-152UX1W model which was unveiled in CES 2010 weighs in at 600kg and is enhanced with the 4K2K technology which boasts of four times as many pixels as a conventional high definition TV set. This pretty much means that it is capable of creating a separate 3D image in HD resolution for each eye. You would get a single 152” TV set when you stack up nine 50” displays in three rows with a resolution of 4096 x 2160 resolutions.

It is a whopping $950,00. That is close to a million dollars and many notches above its original price of $670,000. But then again, Harrods is a niche store and affluent people go the extra mile only to make some heads turn.

The new 20,000sqft tech department has opened on 16th March 2012 and offers a premium selection of consumer technology categories including home computing, audio-visual, photographic and mobile communication. A bespoke suite of aftercare services will also be offered to Harrods customers with a dedicated customer service bar in-store.

Harrods is treated as one of the most exalted retail store in the entire world. It has many big names in its kitty like Lexus CT and Aston Martin Cygnet. It is now set to play host to a new hybrid vehicle- Fisker Karma at its Knightsbridge store. Harrods will be the first store to have the car on display and prospective customers will be able to take a tour of the vehicle and also virtually configure their own model. The American-developed hybrid sportscar is a venture by Valmet Automotive in Sweden also responsible for introducing the Porsche Boxster. The car’s 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is petrol cum electric powered and provides a 260hp direct injection, with 201.5hp electric motors dishing out a total output of 403hp and 98lb of torque. The four-door, four-seat luxury sportscar will give a sprint of 0-60mph in 6.2 seconds and still manage to deliver fuel economy of up to 112 mpg with emissions of just 51g/km CO2. The Fisker Karma can go upto 50 miles exclusively on electric power. The car is already on sale in America at a price of USD $102,300.

A classical round dial with fine lines in complete parody with the modern times is the specialty. Equipped with a manually winding movement the watch is finished with a blue alligator strap. His new eight-bedroom building is spread across two stucco-fronted properties and has three stories underground. The palatial property features a swimming pool, staff apartments and 30,000 square feet of space. The house is over five stories above ground and three basement levels.

The base of the One Hyde Park development in London is about to get chicer, as McLaren is all set to inaugurate the opening of its London showroom by the last week of October. McLaren was in the news for launching its uber chic and sporty MP4-12C super car and now its luxurious show room in the heart of London.

The showroom will be located at the base of One Hyde Park development which is currently under development. As it is being built between Harvey Nichols and Harrods, it will soon become an eye candy like the formers. It hired the much famed celebrity architects, Harvey Nichols and Partners, all I can say is this one knows how to turn heads.

Jardine Motors Group is the dealer and they plan to leave no stone unturned in making it a successful event. Due to its location, this showroom could prove to be one of the busiest showrooms in London. It plans to harbor all the F1 cars by McLaren along with some upcoming models.
