Hermes Makes $1.9 Million Gold Handbags
Hermes, a brand known for its most expensive functional handbag collection, the Kelly and the Birkin, has unveiled four new designs, each priced at $1.9 Million.
The miniature totes, which are crafted from gold and studded with thousands of precious stones, double up as high jewellery. Significantly smaller than the popular leather versions, they are designed to be worn as a bracelet, with the handbag strap resting on the wrist. It took accessories designer Pierre Hardy, two years to produce the intricate creations. Each of the new designs will only be produced three times.

Each week, the most popular gift items are displayed on the Top Ten list. After this Round One, 40 finalists will be selected who will then move on to the Second Round. This Round will begin on December 6th, 2010 and will go on till December 27th, 2010.
From each of the eight gift recipient categories, five finalists will be chosen. Out of these, three main prize winners will be chosen. The main winner receives a $2,500 Neiman Marcus gift card, the first runner-up earns a $1,000 dollar card and the second runner-up gets a $500 card.

Gulf investors seek $3 billion buyout of Harrods
Harrods, a luxury department store located on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, London, UK has been offered $3 billion by Qatari investors.
Owned by Mohamed Al-Fayed since 1985, the store has over one million square feet of selling space in over 330 departments. A major gulf based investor who is also the owner of Fulham Football Club, is now going to take over the luxury store at an offer price of $3billion.
