Gulf investors seek $3 billion buyout of Harrods

Harrods, a luxury department store located on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, London, UK has been offered $3 billion by Qatari investors.
Owned by Mohamed Al-Fayed since 1985, the store has over one million square feet of selling space in over 330 departments. A major gulf based investor who is also the owner of Fulham Football Club, is now going to take over the luxury store at an offer price of $3billion.

Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren was spotted on the roads of Dubai last year and recently, one super-shiny SLR McLaren has been seen in Manchester, England. The guy driving the car was El Hadji Diouf, who plays for Blackburn Rovers Football Club, an English Premier League football club based in the town of Blackburn, Lancashire. He spent US $636,750 on this blinged-up Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. The playmaker is known to be an avid car collector and has also possessed Range Rovers, Lincoln Navigators and Cadillac Escalades.
Liverpool club launches gold and diamond mobile phone

Liverpool football club has launched this 18-carat gold handset to celebrate the club’s glorious history. Designed by Galentia and the club with the aim of honoring their proud history and heroes past and present, the phone features a sapphire crystal screen on the bottom and engraved is the Liverpool logo, which further is studded with 18 diamonds marking the number of the club’s league title victories. It is available in a limited edition of 250 and each phone comes encased in a North African black walnut box, lined with red velvet. The bespoke box inclusive of the phone and medallion comes for $21,075.
