Tron Guy’s airplane listed on eBay for $23,233

Remember Jay Maynard? The Tron guy who bought a brand new airplane, AMD Zodiac XLi,‚ in June 2008 for $140,000? He is now selling the plane on eBay for $23,233. According to Reports, Jay was finding it hard to survive the economic downturn due to which he had to part with his dear airplane in which he has put in about 150 hours of flying time.
The customized airplane was designed to go with the Tron’s electroluminescent costume. It features a custom green-and-blue paint job and a custom interior that complements the exteriors. The two-seater sport plane boasts of seats in light gray and dark blue.
Rolls-Royce in demand despite economic downturn

Many automakers are asking for government bailouts during the financial meltdown. However, Rolls-Royce, the BMW-owned British brand is talking about its best sales in 18 years.‚ Rolls-Royce sold 1212 cars globally last year. It can be said that the most affluent are still spending money like anything on lavish rides. For the current year, Rolls-Royce sales are already up and with the arrival of a new model, the company hopes to triple sales next year. The company has also announced that it will be increasing its manufacturing workforce by 50 percent for the upcoming $700,000 Ghost sedan.

Philippe Starck has designed‚ ludicrously named Haaa!!! and Hooo!!! lamps which seem to be laughing loud at the economic downturn. While the name of one big floor lamp is Haaa!!! the small table lamp is Hooo!!! Altogether five parties have collaborated with the design by Phillippe Starck, text by Jenny Holzer, the custom electronics by Moritz Waldemeyer, the crystal by Baccarat and the execution by Flos for these lamps. The prominent features of the lamp include a white LED display running along the center line of the crystal element, and the interplay between the geometric LED matrix and hand-made Baccarat crystal which turns Jenny Holzer’s text into an attention-grabbing animation. Only 9 examples of the Haaa!!! will be made available while each will come with a price tag of $119,250.‚ On the other hand, the Hooo!!! (49 examples) will set you back for $11,925.
