Among the new entrants not only at Baselworld but in the world of timepieces is de Grisogono ’s exquisitely crafted diamond-studded Tondo Tourbillon Gioiello watch collection for women. Marking the brands entry in the world of tourbillion complication, this timepiece collection is all about luxury, opulence and elegance. The collection boasts of an in-house assembled de Grisogono mechanical movement, fitted with an off-centred tourbillon at 8 o’clock. The collection boasts of three versions of the timepiece, models set with black, brown or white diamonds.

The oval shaped Tondo XL case is a perfect match for the Calibre 32. The mainplate covered with brown, white or black mother-of-pearl, acts as a bejeweled dial. The brand signature and its coat-of-arms are engraved on the barrel ratchet-wheel at 12 o’clock while the famous Côtes de Genève motif is present on the underside of the calibre. The white gold case is drenched with more than 8 carats of diamonds which are set using the unique “four grain” gemsetting technique. 33 larger sized diamonds adorn the bezel while the brand’s trademark black diamonds embellish the crown. The timepiece is water resistant up to 30 meters and boasts of a 72 hour power reserve. The hands are in white or pink gold while the galuchat strap comes in white, brown or black depending on the versions.
