$6.8 million Snow White Princess Diamond Watch
Mouawad, the makers of most expensive bag, announced its latest timepiece, the Snow White Princess Diamond Watch we definitely could do anything but ignore this gorgeous creation. The exquisite timepiece valued at $6.8 million made its global debut at the Doha Jewelry and Watch Exhibition (DJWE). Boasting of its maker’s excellent craftsmanship, it is made from 18K white gold and features 223 colorless diamonds of varying sizes that weigh a total of 106.93 carats. The total weight of the watch is 108.90 grams. Natalie Glebova, who is an international model and former Miss Universe wore the Snow White Princess Diamond Watch along with some of the jeweller’s statement Haute Joaillerie pieces at the Mouawad booth.

Naef Bauhaus Minimalist Chess Set
Naef Bauhaus has launched a new aesthetic for the chess game pushing minimalism as far as they could to offer a sober yet pleasant design. The Bauhaus school of art is all about combining the fine arts with craftsmanship to create beautiful art work, what the Naef Bauhaus chess set perfectly achieves.
It was originally designed in 1923 by sculptor Joseph Hartwig whose clean geometric lines are the signature style.
Each piece of the set is designed to represent the way it moves, the knights boasting and “L” shape, intersecting diagonals on top of the bishops.
Hermes’ Traveling Festival of Crafts
Festival de Metiers which can be translated as Festival of Crafts has been created by Hermes as a traveling show. It was organized for a five day period next to the Hermes flagship store. The idea behind the exhibition is to spread the awareness about the process and the craftsmanship behind every Hermes creation. The exhibition spread over three floor space is open to public who are free to watch the process and interact with the craftsmen and women.
The festival venue is well decorated and lot of photographs have been displayed in a pattern to highlight the tools used and the sequence of process that is required to finish a particular product. Hermes hopes that the people will, through this festival, discover the poetic and visionary techniques used to make Herm¨s signature scarves, watches, jewelry, ties, and bags. The message, very clearly, of the festival is that despite being rooted in tradition of saddle making techniques since 1837 Hermes has been adapting modern tools and techniques with remarkable results.
In order to remain focused on their goal Hermes was not selling anything from the venue. The objective was to share knowledge and highlight the skill level of the Hermes craftsmen and women. The segments on display were watchmaking, gemstone setting, engraving, silk printing, shirtmaking, as well as tie making, and leather stitching.
Laudacieuse table clock by Matthew Norman
Matthew Norman has evolved from a reproducer to a creator of modern timepieces, their recent offering, and the Laudacieuse table clock reaffirms their entry into the select club of manufacturers who are respected the world over for their design, execution and craftsmanship. The new table clock showcases the brand’s new five-barrel movement with 40-day power reserve and a vertically oriented balance. The clock has been so designed that the movement appears to float in its aluminum case. Only 50 pieces will be made of this limited edition design. The company’s workshop in Delmont, Switzerland will make everything that will go into the making of the clock. Every piece will be made with a numbered certificate. The number of the movement, the name of the watchmaker, and the production date will be recorded.
The clockmakers in the company’s workshop have the skill to give a perfect and precise finish to each and every piece. Matthew Norman is now established as a maker of modern luxury watches as their earlier models including Symphony, Temptation, and Time Gallery, evoke a modern sensibility with Art Dcor infused designs. Their skillful use of Makassar ebony and stingray skin adds to the modern touch.
Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Virtual Museum of Reverso
Jaeger-LeCoultre is celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Reverso in 2011. One of the major initiatives, to put in one place the history and the nostalgia related to the classic time piece for the world to see, is the launch of the Reverso Virtual Museum. In the last eighty years Reverso has made its way to the wrists and hearts of royalty, soldiers, and young girls alike.

It’s been 60 years since the Bolshevik Revolution took over the Russian political and social atmosphere and change things forever. We have been told that it took close to some 300 workers to create this artistic masterpiece that required painstaking attention under the guidance of Russian artist Efim Deshalyt. From the looks of it, the scaled piece was part of propaganda as its sole purpose was to show that the Soviet Union’s capital was more magnificent than any Western capital.

Diamond crusted Enigma Elle Bicycle
Enigma has produced a specially commissioned bespoke diamond and gold Elle bicycle which will be unveiled at the London Cycle Show. This diamond studded bicycle has been created in collaboration with jeweler Nicholas James (the winner of the Independent Retailer of the Year).
The bespoke bicycle has been designed for a customer who wanted it to be a surprise gift for his cycling-mad better half. When Nicholas James was commissioned to create this unique bicycle, he contacted Enigma to provide the frame and parts, selecting the light weight, high performance titanium ‘Elle’ frame which has been designed and engineered with specific geometry and dimensions for women. A breathtaking beauty, this bicycle studded with diamonds and 18 k gold parts and trim showcases British design and craftsmanship. The sparkling bike will be on display at the show from 9 to 11 October during which it will also be presented to its lucky owner.
What is more, visitors to Enigma stand during this show have an opportunity to win an 18 carat white gold diamond solitaire pendant on a colored collar worth $950 from Nicholas James signature collection, simply by correctly guessing the value of the bike.
