Mouawad, the makers of most expensive bag, announced its latest timepiece, the Snow White Princess Diamond Watch we definitely could do anything but ignore this gorgeous creation. The exquisite timepiece valued at $6.8 million made its global debut at the Doha Jewelry and Watch Exhibition (DJWE). Festival de Metiers which can be translated as Festival of Crafts has been created by Hermes as a traveling show. It was organized for a five day period next to the Hermes flagship store. The idea behind the exhibition is to spread the awareness about the process and the craftsmanship behind every Hermes creation. The exhibition spread over three floor space is open to public who are free to watch the process and interact with the craftsmen and women.

The festival venue is well decorated and lot of photographs have been displayed in a pattern to highlight the tools used and the sequence of process that is required to finish a particular product. Hermes hopes that the people will, through this festival, discover the poetic and visionary techniques used to make Herm¨s signature scarves, watches, jewelry, ties, and bags. The message, very clearly, of the festival is that despite being rooted in tradition of saddle making techniques since 1837 Hermes has been adapting modern tools and techniques with remarkable results.

In order to remain focused on their goal Hermes was not selling anything from the venue. The objective was to share knowledge and highlight the skill level of the Hermes craftsmen and women. The segments on display were watchmaking, gemstone setting, engraving, silk printing, shirtmaking, as well as tie making, and leather stitching.

The clockmakers in the company’s workshop have the skill to give a perfect and precise finish to each and every piece. Matthew Norman is now established as a maker of modern luxury watches as their earlier models including Symphony, Temptation, and Time Gallery, evoke a modern sensibility with Art Dcor infused designs. Their skillful use of Makassar ebony and stingray skin adds to the modern touch.

This diamond studded bicycle has been created in collaboration with jeweler Nicholas James (the winner of the Independent Retailer of the Year).

The bespoke bicycle has been designed for a customer who wanted it to be a surprise gift for his cycling-mad better half. When Nicholas James was commissioned to create this unique bicycle, he contacted Enigma to provide the frame and parts, selecting the light weight, high performance titanium ‘Elle’ frame which has been designed and engineered with specific geometry and dimensions for women. A breathtaking beauty, this bicycle studded with diamonds and 18 k gold parts and trim showcases British design and craftsmanship. The sparkling bike will be on display at the show from 9 to 11 October during which it will also be presented to its lucky owner.

What is more, visitors to Enigma stand during this show have an opportunity to win an 18 carat white gold diamond solitaire pendant on a colored collar worth $950 from Nicholas James signature collection, simply by correctly guessing the value of the bike.
