Suima robotic crib rocks your baby to sleep

Cradle-thumb-450x337.jpg

After a tough day at work it’s quite irritating when your baby doesn’t let you sleep in the night. So for all you tired parents, here is something that is going to interest you for sure.

Kyuushuu University in Japan has introduced the Suima robotic crib which is a fully automatic baby bed that rocks your baby to sound sleep if he or she starts crying. A built-in microphone sense the baby’s cries and then starts swaying from side to side every 1.8 seconds, which is very much like a parent’s heartbeat. This gentle movement of the crib sends the baby back to sleep in no time. If you are going to Japan for a short stay and don’t want to carry the crib along you can rent this unique crib for $100. But if you are interested in buying it, the crib is worth $4,500 to $5,500.

Kawasaki Unleashes the Vulcan Voyager

Kawa
“Vulcan Voyager” sounds a bit too much like it’s targeted to dudes who pleasure themselves to Star Trek reruns, but Kawasaki’s new 1700cc fuel injected V-Twin is anything but wimpy. The company claims it’s the first metric V-Twin-powered full dress touring motorcycle, and we won’t argue about that. The revamped Voyager features a six-speed transmission, a belt instead of shaft drive, and a new more compact chassis. It also has what Kawasaki calls its “first fully electronic throttle valve system,” a network of sensors and an ECU that are control the fuel flow and automatically adjusts for load, temperature, pressure, and throttle opening.
The 52-degree V-Twin is mounted in a single backbone double cradle frame, and the 102mm X 104mm bore/stroke of the 103.7 cubic-inch engine is said to be good for 108 ft-lb of torque. The gauges, speedometer, tachometer, and digital display are housed in dashboard with the LCD is controlled by switches on the right handlebar including gear position indicator, clock, odometer, dual trip meters, and average fuel consumption. It comes in two colours, Candy Plasma Blue/Metallic Diablo Black or Metallic Titanium/Metallic Diablo Black.

Mickey Rourke’s custom made motorbike

Mickey Rouke custom made bike

Mickey Rourke who acted in many of our favorite flicks, including award winning “The Wrestler’, has lent his own touch to the whole concept of “machismo’. Hence it was befitting for the actor to surround himself with accessories and toys which choose the similar aura, and therefore Roland Sands Design has created a custom made chopper for the actor which shall not just stand out for its design but further be closely associated with his image on screen.

The project began with the selection of the basic components of the bike including the frame cradle on which it was to be built. A hunting operation within the lot of Harley Davidson gave the team the skeleton, which would undergo a lot of tweaks to finally turn up into a mean chopper. Then over a 14 day period, long hours of precise and dogged work with each minute component were put to bring in the craftsmanship that the custom made vehicle needed. Each engine part for example, was especially powder coated for extra longevity and sheen apart from using power packed components like the 1 KW motor, which will give the bike the extra torque that Mickey so very desires. Since the majority of the bike would be an exposed skeleton, such a procedure was all the more important.

The dual colored bottom and wheels of the bike, where chosen by Mickey Rourke and his good friend and actor, John Statham who is also a bike enthusiast. This included the gold on black combination on the engine, grill and the alloy wheels. At a later stage, Chris Wood chipped in with his expertise to paint the upper hull or chassis pearl white making the whole mean machine stand out distinctly from any of the competition. Me being a fan is only waiting to see Mickey ride this in one of his movies, and hope it’s a common desire.

Then begin the therapeutic functions of light, color, sound, vision and motion of these cradles, but in multiple stages. Such an exercise is known to relax the body and mind within a short while, thus aiding the revival of lost energy. Iconic ‘Moby Dick’ – the fastest motorcycles of the 1920s to Sell at Bonhams

Moby Dick 1929 Brough Superior SS00

This year Bonham’s won’t just be witnessing 4-wheeled maestros going under the hammer. They will also be featuring some of the best in the 2-wheeled versions known to us. We showed you a host of them in our coverage of the Bernard Li collection, and making the list the list longer is the 1929 Brough Superior SS100, also known as the “Moby Dick’ amongst motorcycles. Known for its powerful engine, it has already put the estimated auction price of the bike in the region of $398,000- 464,380.

After the launch of the bike, it came to known as “the fastest privately owned machine in the world, suitable for road use with speeds of over 106 m/ph. Further re-engineering and tweaking of some key components took the speeds up to 115 m/ph, and the significant point here is that the age produced barely anything that could cross the 100 m/ph mark on wheels. This engine was an 1142 cc v-twin engine with a 980cc capacity, which still manages to vow many auto-loves to this day. Other distinct features included the dynamo lighting, twist handle grip and the cradle frame, which was one of the earliest to be used in the Brough Superior range derived from Bret le Vack’s Brooklands Racer. Further investigation also brings to light that this particular piece is a one of the earliest surviving models in the series.

Jesus Del Pozo Halloween

The first NOTES DE TETES let flavours of violets and small grains fly away and made me reach for your mouth, never to let it go. I could see your mischievous look when I took the time to look at your face. You looked satisfied. I was at a loss as to what I should do when you left. That fragrance was present on my body and I did not know what name to give it. I asked you it’s letters and you said « Think about this evening. » I searched but came up with nothing. And then, you left. The waltz of sugar and sweetness came and interrupted my thoughts several times while smelling on my skin this perfume full of beauty. Your scent was imbedded there and that oriental yet fresh perfume simply increased the feeling of emptiness without you.

You looked like a Goddess, one of love or evil, in fact I do not know which. I suffered from this emptiness without you and your womanliness was revealed in broad daylight when I discovered your figure in that dress that combined fabrics and shades of ochre, white and ivory. Goddess or spell-binding witch, I do not know but the scents of NOTES DE COEUR pulled me to you. The bouquet offered a tapestry of Magnolias, Violets, Lily of the Valley, Pepper and Tuberose. So I took off these fabrics at once to break from the spell that the child had cast on me. You and the child were in the same room when I had given her the sweet and had snapped at her. She was right and this had enslaved my spirit as a prisoner of your body and perfume.

The night finally got the better of this terrible joke. Waking up this morning, cradled in your arms, I told you about this strange dream on Halloween, about a little girl, about scents and about love. A strange but sumptuous perfume lay on your skin. An Oriental NOTE could not prevent me from kissing your body. The vanilla from Madagascar, the Myrrh and Sandalwood turned this music into an intoxication. And then I let you go so I could admire you trying the dress on. It was made for our wedding by Jesus Del Pozo. Bridal 2011 would be magical and sublime.

Lamborghini Murcilago LP640

To create the new super roadster, the Maison Versace’s designers joined forces with designers from the Lamborghini Design Centre and specialists working on the “ad personam” project. This Lamborghini program allows individual clients to create personalised sports cars, choosing the equipment specification, the colour of the exterior body and of the interior fittings.

The cradle seats are clad in black and white leather, while opulent full grain soft nappa leather hand-embroidered with the Versace Greek fret motif – upholsters the instrument panel, the doors and the central console.

The rigorous design and minimal lines of the Murcilago engine hood inspired the Versace Collection LP 640 range of accessories, which will also be previewed for the first time globally.
