Grey Goose is offering a new limited edition gift box exclusively for Geneva based watchmakers and jewelers Chopard.

The edition takes its inspiration from the Animal World Collection and has been created as a move to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Chopard.

Priced at $466, the extraordinary bottle has been made a real collectors item by adorning it with a glittering globe like neck.

Replica of the Ferrari 250GT Spyder California to be sold by Bonhams

Come 19th April, at the Bonhams Collectors’ Motor Cars and Automobilia auction will be selling a replica of the Ferrari 250GT Spyder California that had been specially created for the 1986 Paramount hit film Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’.

Although one hundred genuine 250GT Spyder California’s were created by Ferrari between 1958 and 1963, Paramount decided that it should commission and build a replica for filming purposes.
Estimated to sell between $40,185 and $55,000, the car will be auctioned at the RAF Museum in Hendon, north London.

The auction will also include a Concours 1939 SS Jaguar 2‚½-litre Three-Position Drophead Coupƒ (est. at $120,555 ” 147,345), 1968 AC 428 Coupƒ by Frua (est. at $66,975 ” 93,765), a stable of Bentleys which include 1997 Bentley Continental T (est. at $60,277 ” 73,672) and a 1962 Bentley S3 LWB (est. at $46,882 ” 53,580).

Patek’s Le Tour du Monde de Magellan sells for $164,445


The Patek Philippe Le Tour du Monde de Magellan fetched a remarkable $164,445 at the Antiquorum’s weekend sale of Å”Important Collectors’ Wristwatches, Pocket Watches, Clocks and Horological Tools through bidding over live telephone, internet and even room bidding from bidders across the globe.

The intense bidding for this enamel dome clock took place over the phone with an Asian collector, and when it was finally sold at a record price, it was proved yet again that Patek Philipe manages to rule every auction.

This timepiece is a solar-powered and electro-mechanical, gilt-brass table clock with polychrome cloisonnƒ enamel panels by AMB, Ann-Marie Barbault.

What also made this timepiece such a rage is its history ” the fact that it was made in 1971 to celebrate the 450th anniversary of the death of Ferdinand Magellan.

Over 83% of the 466 lots offered on auction were sold, which included high bids for timepieces such as Rolex, Louis Moinet, Jacob & Co. etc. Quite expectedly, Patek Philippe timepieces fetched the highest bids with some even setting new records.

The Porsche 9ff GT9-R Prototype lists for $1,128,647


The Porsche 9ff GT9 R, based on a Porsche 911 Turbo has been listed for sale on JamesList for $1,128,647. Tuned by 9ff, this supercar has been numbered 00/20 (00′ symbolizes that it’s a prototype).

With only 20 examples to be built for collectors worldwide, the Porsche 9ff GT9 R is believed to be one of world’s fastest cars while also ranking among the most exclusive vehicles on the planet.

Specifications include: a twin-turbo 4.0-liter engine that produces 1120 horsepower, top speed of 414 km/h (0-60 time in flat 2.9 seconds!!), 1050 Nm of Torque, which translates to a 0 ” 100 km/h in a record time of time of 2.9 seconds.

The production GT9-Rs are available in different configurations with 750 hp and 987 hp versions available.

New York auction to see two extremely rare jewels

Come 22nd April, Christie will be auctioning two very rare and exquisite jewels ” the Emperor Maximilian Diamond and the Catherine the Great Emerald and Diamond Brooch.

The Emperor Maximilian Diamond that is expected to fetch from $1million – $1.5million, weighs 39.55 carats and is one of the two large diamonds the Archduke Maximilian acquired in Brazil in 1860, and was still wearing the diamond around his neck when he was executed on June 19, 1867.

The auction that will be held next month also marks the first public viewing of this historic diamond since 1982.

The other jewel to be up for sale is the Catherine the Great Emerald and Diamond Brooch, which is again expected to fetch anything between $1 million to $1.5 million, incorporates a beautiful hexagonal-cut Colombian emerald, weighing between 60 and 70 carats and has been built within rows of rose and old mine-cut diamonds, further mounted in silver-topped gold.

This striking emerald was formerly owned by greatest jewelry collectors of all time, Catherine II of Russia, and was still the property of the next three generations of the noble house of Hohenzoller before being sold in 1972 to a private American buyer.‚

Exotic motor cars up for grabs at Hamptons Auto Classic auction

As always the Hamptons Auto Classic auction is set to impress collectors and classic car enthusiasts by auctioning some very rare and coveted classic motor cars On June 13 at 12 noon. This will also be the 15th year into its renowned auctions.

The highlights of this Å”boutique auction include is a magnificent 1962 Ferrari 250 PF II cabriolet, that is expected to go for a higher price than it is actually worth. Another much anticipated car is the 1964 AC 289 Cobra. This car is the first product by the joint lliance of Carroll Shelby and the British AC Company. Last but not the least is a 1957 Corvette from the collection of Max Weinberg, the renowned drummer, who now leads the band on The Tonight Show With Conan O’Brien.

According to event founder and organizer Peter Mole, The Hamptons Auto Classic is the place to invest in Jaguars, Austin Healeys, Mercedes Benz and Porsches, a Bentley or two and some striking American masterpieces as well.
