This cleverly designed coffee table conveniently transforms into a racing cockpit complete with pedals and adjustable wheels. It was developed over a period of two years with the help of industrial designer Michael Hirschmann. Designed by Kyle Buckner, this fully handcrafted, motorized iTable is a complete entertainment system that lets you connect with the furniture. This unique coffee table features two aluminum-trimmed cup holders, which will light your drinks up with the touch of a button. On the front, there are four controls, LED on/off, Volume up & down and the motorization control. Each button is laser engraved and then hand-cut to fit on the control pad.
The user simply has to touch the metal buttons to activate each identified switch. When you touch both the volume up & down at the same time, you can mute the song playing on your iPhone 4. When you are in the mood to listen to the music, you just need to swipe your hands across the touch-sensitive controls. Another swipe stops the music, and the motorized sound bar glides right back down.

Singapore-based designer Zyane Tan has come up with a multifunctional unit called the ŔSony Fusion.
Apart from being a coffee table, it can be converted with just a click into a work station to reveal the LED outlined keyboard, screen and DVD drive on the side of the table.
The Sony Fusion has been crafted with matte black aluminum with a sleek chrome lining, supported by arched chrome legs.
Priced at $3000, the Sony Fusion will be available in three different colors ” blue, white and red.
