Citroen unveils the most avant-garde garage
Your lavish, luxurious cars would undoubtedly require an equally extravagant abode to park itself in. The world’s foremost “designer garage’ for Citroen’s new executive model, the C6 is a truly individual statement for the seriously wealthy kinds. Citroen has unveiled a futuristic garage, designed by distinguished architects Neutral. It spreads over more than 50m square. Drawing inspiration from the pronounced architectural forms of the Citro«n C6, the garage is formed by three solid strands, which create the “skeleton” of the main building. The C6 (as a matter of fact any other car too) can be driven in from the front or back of the garage.
According to Neutral’s Christian Grou, the garage “encourages a visual dialogue between the inside and outside, and between the car and its environment as a result of the use of materials of different transparencies.” Park your Armored Maybach 62 or the likes in this haute garage for a hefty amount of $212,815……. (just a little less of the car’s actual cost).
Jaguar reveals the price-tag of 2007 XKR coupe
Jaguar 2007 XKR models are described as, sensational cars to drive that define the road providing the combination of exhilaration and refinement to those who have an affinity for power and luxury. Swanky zone of Pebble Beach was chosen by the Jaguar North America to disclose the U.S. pricing for its new supercharged 2007 XKR Coupe and Convertible.
An Advanced Technology Package, which includes Adaptive Cruise Control and Active Front Lighting, will be offered for both Coupe and Convertible models ($2,500). The XKR price is up from $82,330 and $87,330 respectively from 2006 models but we undeniably state that the 2007 XKR price increase over the 2006 model is worth it.

In-Car PC ascertains indulgence for your plush car
German company Mattes Interieurtechnik specializes just in interior automotive design for ultra luxury cars. So far all existing multimedia and business systems on wheels were based on PC technology. Mattes responded to the request of many of its customers who prefer Apple computers and developed a high-end in-car system based on an Apple iMac G5, whose entire hardware in turn is integrated into the 17-inch monitor that is only 5 centimeters thick. The iMac G5 multimedia system can be integrated into any car.
The computer comes covered in the deluxe magnolia-colored leather and is installed on the driveshaft tunnel behind the front seats. By unplugging one cable and unfastening the locking mechanism the computer can be removed from the car in less than a minute for use at home or in the office. An integrated DVD player also makes use of the large 16:10 iMac display. A wireless keyboard and mouse control all office and multimedia functions of the Mac OS X operating system.
2007 Jaguar XJR Portfolio special edition revealed
Jaguar has released a new special edition 400 hp XJR called the XJR Portfolio. The Jaguar XJR Portfolio is one of the best luxury cars you can buy. It also appears to be one of the best values, at least in terms of price paid for the luxury it exudes. Plus, you can’t put price on exclusivity. The Jaguar XJR Portfolio is a truly beautiful luxury car, with lithe, elegant lines that ooze class and sex appeal, and its luxurious cabin is swathed in rich leathers and warm woods. Underway, it’s quiet, smooth, stately, and powerful and it handles quite well.
It will be powered by the XJR’s 400-bhp supercharged 4.2-liter V8 and gears will change hands thanks to a six-speed ZF automatic transmission. 60 mph will be achieved in a cool 5.0 seconds flat. The XJR Portfolio’s interior is upholstered in Ivory, Champagne or Charcoal leather. The XJR Portfolio will be available in a choice of four colors: Liquid Silver, Midnight black, Ebony, and Blue Prism. In-car entertainment is provided by the 12-speaker Jaguar Alpine Premium sound system including 320 watt amplifier, subwoofers and CD changer.

Britney Spears know about cars, to be more specific vintage cars. In any case she has picked one up. She singled out dazzling, silver 1956 Porsche 356A Speedster this week. The classic car is the design that catapulted the Porsche into popularity in the US. The car looks like it’s in prime condition and is probably worth in the neighborhood of $70,000. It’s better if she leaves the baby home as the Toxic driver can’t negotiate a manual transmission, she’s seen in the photo above taking instruction from her unidentified co-driver.
Matchstick Man- aiming for a world record with Titanic model
Mark Colling, a Brit from Llanelli, United Kingdom, has been busy making a nineteen-foot replica of the doomed ship, the RMS Titanic; yes – the same boat that we have written about in other aspects. Matchstick modeller, Mark Colling, is on his way to achieving a world record by building a 5-million match replica of the Titanic. Not only is he making a replica of the ship, he also busied himself with making a replica of the iceberg that sunk it. Colling is making his model of the Titanic in his garage at his home with the help of blueprint copies sent to him by the editor of the Hollywood blockbuster of the same name. And as for the matches, he doesn’t use the ordinary, garden-variety type; he actually orders the “special” kind. Mark’s existing 6ft 2ins long model of the Titanic used up 320,122 model matchsticks.
Colling’s choice of subjects provides a great example of the historical sensibilities that drive so much hobbyist modeling, from ships to airplanes, railroads, cars, and cathedrals.
