Bang & Olufsen’s BeoVision 12 65-Inch 3D Plasma TV in U.S. March 2012

Bang & Olufsen's BeoVision 12 65-Inch 3D Plasma TV in U.S. March 2012

Luxury electronics house Bang & Olufsen announced that its new ultra-flat, 3D 65-inch plasma television is available in all B&O showrooms in Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. The fresh BeoVision 12, presented at the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show in January, is now entering the marketplace worldwide.

The company claims that its BeoVision 12’s new adaptation features, which include an automatic picture control and color management, establishes a new plateau in the delivery of a true-to-life viewing experience. “The arrival of the BeoVision 12 solidifies our commitment to the premium segment of wide-screen home cinema solutions,” states Zean Nielsen, president of Bang & Olufsen America, Inc. “Furthermore, it strengthens our 3D large screen TV portfolio and complements our home integration and personalized installation services.”

The design of the set is as elegant as its picture is lifelike. B&O tapped David Lewis Designers to design its new BeoVision 12 65-inch plasma TV. It has two aluminum profiles that make it appear to be very thin and light. The frame of the unit itself is only millimeters thick.

The automatic-color management compensates for the effects of aging, which is reported to be common for the plasma technology. Additionally, it ensures the highest quality picture under any lighting conditions. There is a special light sensor built into the TV that automatically adjusts the picture to the level of brightness that is similar to how our eyes would react to changes.

Bang & Olufsen Reinvent 3D TV with the New BeoVision 4

Bang & Olufsen, the Danish manufacturer of high-end home theaters and custom multi-room music systems, loudspeakers, and telephones is world renowned for its impeccable design, elegance, and seamless integration. Since 1925, Bang & Olufsen has been driven by the same vision: To constantly question the ordinary in search of surprising, long lasting experiences. This uncompromising attitude has led to the creation of products and experiences with real and lasting value, superior craftsmanship and the ultimate user experience. Bang & Olufsen America Inc., was founded in 1972 in the greater Chicago area and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Bang & Olufsen a/s of Struer, Denmark.

Bang & Olufsen has this time pushed the boundaries of modern electronics, and their new line of plasma televisions continues this historic heritage. The BeoVision 4 comes loaded with many features you would expect only from the lair of a fictional superhero, to create a cinematic experience that your local theatre would be hard-pressed to match.

Clarity along with their Automatic Color Management system scans the picture on your TV every 100 hours and adjusts the color balance respectively, this is the promise given by the Full HD 3D plasma screen on the BeoVision 4, while other sets just continue to age. Bang & Olufsen addresses perhaps the only thing worse than a screen tinged with age, by significantly reducing the glare that often seems beyond your control.

There is a sensor right at the top of the set that continuously measures and adjusts to the ambient light in the room, much like the screen of your smart phone. If all this technology still leaves you squinting, you can adjust the tilt and swivel of the screen with a simple command on the remote.

Another sleek motorized movement of the BeoVision 4 comes from the distinctive triangle-shaped main speaker, which gracefully lowers it while the screen rises upon powering the system on. Combine these incredible features with the standard of quality that Bang & Olufsen is known for, and you have quite possibly the best 3D television to grace the market thus far. The BeoVision 4 comes in 85- or 103-inch screen size options, and you can experience them first-hand at their new Beverly Hills showroom.
