Diamond Blouse for $1.4 million to be auctioned in Dubai
Diamonds are undeniably girl’s best friend, but there are limitations for a best friend too! I too love these sparkling rocks, but you wouldn’t catch me wearing a diamond blouse (even if I could afford it). The $1.4 million diamond-studded top unveiled in February during Milan Fashion Week will go on the auction block in Dubai in mid December. It was created by the late renowned fashion designer Gianfranco Ferr in a joint effort with diamond company and DTC sightholder Dalumi. It concluded Ferr’s women’s collection for fall/winter 2007/2008. Matched with black tuxedo pants and a black silk cape, the outfit was worn on the runway by British rock singer Skin. More than 900 diamonds weighing more than 300 cts. were stitched in curved horizontal rows across a sheer black vest. The diamonds were of G color and VS and higher clarity and were set in white-gold studs. A single Ferr employee hand-stitched each diamond onto the fabric.
Adolf Hitler’s globe up for auction

I detest Hitler and would never think of associating with him in any form. Not even a globe from his home. But if you are interested and hunting for “only one of its kind’ and distinctive objects then you would like to bid for a globe found by American soldier Barsamian. He found the globe in May 1945 in the Berghof, Hitler’s home in the Bavarian Alps town of Berchtesgaden. He boxed it up with a few other keepsakes, including a pistol and a dagger, and shipped them home. For more than 60 years, he kept the globe at his home in Oakland. It wasn’t displayed prominently, and he only told its story when close friends would ask. Now Barsamian is putting the artifact up for auction, along with all the military paperwork that allowed him to bring it back to the United States, including a certificate that reads “1 Global Map, German, Hitler’s Eagle Nest.” John Barsamian who is 91 now says that “Literally, the place is all bombed out and here this globe is sitting there on the desk.”
Oscar Award won by Orson Welles for “Citizen Kane”

Lately on the market we have the Oscar won by Orson Welles from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for best Screenplay for Citizen Kane. It is expected to fetch $800,000 and $1.2 million at a scheduled Sotheby’s auction on 11 December. The deserving value invited by award is significantly because of its status of being the 1941 classic. It won only one Oscar, but Orson Welles’ 1941 film “Citizen Kane” is widely considered his best movie. The movie had a star-studded cast. Welles was fearless in the filmmaking and he had complete autonomy, all of which helped him create a landmark movie
In 2003, Welles sold the Oscar to the Dax Foundation, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit group that supports various educational, health and other causes. Dax is auctioning the Oscar.

The exceptional masterpiece festooned in Pink and Gold features a mechanical figure and clock. The Russian jeweler, Faberge produced only 50 eggs for the Royal family and besides this he is said to have created another 12 of similar standards for his private clients.
