British Tourism Agency to Launch Marketing Campaign

The tourism agency of Britain is about to launch a comprehensive marketing campaign to persuade more wealthy tourists to spend their cash on luxury holidays or what they are calling Fairytale holidays. Visit Britain will promote three tiers of luxury, gold, platinum and black, to attract the estimated 10 million high net worth individuals with more than $1 million.
Britain has some of the original world renowned luxury experiences and brands. For example Claridge’s, Selfridges and St. Andrew’s are very exclusive and unique experiences that cannot be replicated elsewhere. Visit Britain said it had identified a fashion among the rich for dreamlike or fairytale holidays, and it will draw on the country’s rich history to create packages that would reveal the magical side of Britain.
For those who want to get under the skin of traditional British culture during a luxury break, there is the chance to go backstage at Shakespeare’s Globe theatre in London. The packages would offer an opportunity to the guests to live as a laird in a Scottish castle, blend your own bottle of malt whisky, play golf on prestigious courses and get measured for a kilt.
Limited Edition Phantom Rolls Royce

Rolls Royce is not the kinda company that would collaborate with a designer unless he or she is almost the top brass in the arena. Thus, recently they announced that they are going to work with California-based designer Bijan Pakzad. The collaboration was announced at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show.
The designer has a fetish for cars too, and makes quite an amount of money by customizing high end cars. In fact, his yellow Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe can be seen parked outside the store. Bijan and Rolls Royce announced that they would be launching the Limited Edition Phantom models which would come with his signature. These cars would be sold for a price of $1 million.
Michael Jordan, George Bush and Bill Clinton are some of the clients that Rolls Royce caters to. These Rolls Royce cars are designed for the most powerful people in the world from around 20 countries.
Big Blue Diamond soon to be Auctioned
On October 20, Christie’s will offer the BVLGARI Blue, a 10.95-carat triangular-cut fancy vivid blue diamond set alongside a 9.87-carat white diamond in a ring, and it’s likely to make auction history. The ring is the highlight of Jewels at The New York Sale and it is the largest fancy vivid blue diamond of this cut ever to be offered at auction. So rare, only 1 in 10 million diamonds will possess a color intense enough to be qualified as fancy vivid blue by the Gemological Institute of America. It’s expected to fetch more than $12 million.
The ring was purchased by a European man at BVLGARI in Italy in 1972 to commemorate the birth of his first son. He paid about $1 million for the ring, and at the time it was considered a huge price. It has remained in the hands of its original owners.
A blue diamond is the result of the diamond coming in contact with trace elements of boron, but few stones of deep-blue color in larger sizes are ever discovered. In the past few years, a few important blues have broken records, including the Wittelsbach, a 17th-century fancy, deep grayish-blue gem of 35.56 carats that Laurence Graff purchased at Christie’s London in December 2008 for $24.3 million. It was the highest ever price paid for any diamond or jewel at auction.
