Along with Jade Jagger designed houses, the Lodha Group has added new heights to the super luxury living in Mumbai, India with World One – the world’s tallest residential tower. The builders have roped in Italian couturier Giorgio Armani to design exclusive designed apartments in the world’s tallest residential building that is said to retail at a whooping half a $10.1 million.

The $406.8 million World One project is slated to come up in Central Mumbai with prices starting at Rs $1.5 million. At the unveiling of the first sample apartment, Lodha managing director Abhisheck Lodha said, “It is a privilege for us to partner with Armani/Casa for the interior design at The World Towers. We are committed to providing our customers with excellence in luxury living and we intend to ensure that every single element respects the best standards of quality and aesthetics.”

The project will be ready by 2014 and will feature two towers, the World One with 117 floors and the World Crest that is 700 ft high.

Standing at 450 meters tall and spanning over 145,500 square meters, this magnificent structure is going to go far from unnoticed with a completion date set for 2014.

The impressive vessel features a formal dining salon, disco, teak decks, jacuzzi, sauna, gym along with a 25-foot Chris Craft boat and Yamaha. The yacht can accommodate 12 guests in its six staterooms and have a 17 member crew on board.

Till it finds a suitable buyer, the ship will be available on rent at 600,000 per week for winter Caribbean cruises and $789,000 per week for summer vacations to the Mediterranean region. While the move to sell of his yacht does make us wonder if he’s that cash strung after buying an NFL team, Khan denies the news.

Only in your dreams you can think of being able to speak to photographer and film director Amber Gray about directing any lifestyle show in Paris. All of us are a fan of this young talent’s work for years, favoring mostly her dreamy and alluring images, which are so soft and seductive. Gray has been behind the camera for numerous luxury products starting from top brands such as Gucci, YSL and Sony, so when I had the honor to work with her recently in Paris.

As per the general requirements of anyone trying to work with her would be, one, she must attempt to make them look as beautiful as some of her previous clients such as Penelope Cruz, Selena Gomez or Maria Sharapova; though everyone is aware of the fact that Gray is not a magician, so the pressure was not all on her. Secondly, Gray had to accept an interview from them so they can actually share her greatness with others.

As told by Gray in a recent interview to Justluxe.com, she was always, even as a little ten-year-old kid, playing with her parents camera, orchestrating people to reflect my vision, rather than reality. She would dress her sister and her friends up, paint their faces, and have them jump off the hood of her mom’s car. It was a very warped music video shoot playing in her head.

Fast forward to more recent years and Gray admits, “I realize now that I was super lucky early on,” to have broken into the professional business of photography so quickly. In no time, she was able to move from San Francisco to New York City with her partner Julian Bernstein with a focus more on directing. “My first national broadcast spot is currently running for Disney, and I’m in pre-production on my first feature.”

Gray started off as a photographer right out of film school basically as “a stepping stone” towards her ultimate goal of becoming a director or cinematographer. “Film is an opportunity to share my vision as a whole, with movement, and music, and time. It really is the ultimate form of communication.”

To stand out as a true talent in film and photography, the images must be utterly stunning and evoke a reaction or a feeling from the viewer. Gray’s photography and motion film instigate these reactions. “I like to imply a storyline without ever saying it aloud,” explains the artist, “Which leaves some blank space for your imagination to fill in.” This also applies to her, what I referred to as, slightly disturbing images. “I have heard that rumbling about some of my imagery being perceived as dark,” teases Gray, yet clarifies that this is an intentional attribute. To her, it is “a love of creating different atmospheres and scenarios that play out beyond the human character.”

Gray is able to conceptualize her clients’ requests yet still be satisfied with her creativity, “because if they have chosen to hire me for the job, they obviously get my work, and trust me to execute their concept in an extraordinary way.” Evident also in the list of celebrities she has worked with like Beyoncé, John Turturro and Nina Hagen. “I especially liked working with Penelope Cruz. She has a good sense of humor, and is super easygoing.”

I asked Gray if she could share an interesting experience with any high-maintenance celebs she has worked with. “They have all been really professional and lovely thus far, but I have friends who have shot some real nightmare personalities, including one actress that locked herself and the stylist in her hotel room and refused to come out for twelve hours.” What could you possibly be doing for twelve hours alone with your stylist? Well, unless I was the actress and my stylist was David Beckham.

The other attribute of all the beautiful women she shoots goes beyond their obvious good looks for Gray. “Even though a lot of my work features beautiful, lithe young women, I don’t deal in blank stares or victims,” Gray explains. “Even the fruitiest, fluffiest examples of my work feature a woman that would be perceived as aware and intelligent. I truly abhor the idea that in order for a woman to be ‘attractive’ or ‘sexy’ she needs to appear to be a simpleton.”

Gray portrays beautiful people with a sexual undertone in photography and are tastefully presented in motion picture. “I always admired artists like Angela Carter, Floria Sigismondi, and Sally Potter for their ability to sort of capture that aspect of things in a way that wasn’t cheesy or played-out and obvious,” Gray elaborates. “I think that what is generally marketed in America as ‘sexy’ could just as easily be marketed as ‘cliché’ so I try to avoid the obvious cues, in favor of subtler, more interesting ones.”

Talented, experienced and hard working; I have a lot of respect for Gray who says she always wants to challenge herself. “I’m extremely hands-on as a director so for me, it’s an opportunity to bring a whole universe that’s residing in my imagination out into the world to be experienced by others. I am involved in everything from the writing, casting, storyboarding, lighting design, wardrobe, music, and editing. Filmmaking can include pretty much anything, which is why it never gets boring, and there is always more to learn.” Thankfully for us, it is like that little ten-year-old girl still playing out those warped music videos in her head.

Audi has recently unveiled an MSRP of $210,000 for its limited edition 2012 R8 GT Spyder. A total of 330 vehicles will be made worldwide. Each of the cars will be specially numbered on the gearshift. Fifty are designated for the United States and delivery of the R8 GT Spyder begins this month.

This supercar with German-engineered is lighter and more powerful. The Spyder has a top speed of 197 mph and accelerates from zero to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. The 2012 R8 GT Spyder is distinguished from previous models by an enlarged diffuser, a front splitter, and a fixed-rear spoiler. The R8‘s 5.2-liter V10, with direct injection, metes out 560 horsepower. The vehicle’s frame of lightweight magnesium and carbon fiber-reinforced large side and rear panels contribute to it weighing 187 pounds lighter than the coupe. The R8 GT Spyder sports suspension makes it more responsive due to its stiffer calibration.

Optional equipment includes a Bang & Olufsen Sound System and an Audi navigational system along with an Audi music interface with an iPod cable.  Audi USA also just reported its 13th consecutive record-setting month of sales with 9,354 vehicles sold in January 2012. The figure represents a 19.7 percent increase over units sold in January 2011. Consumers are sending a strong signal that Audi is at the top of the luxury vehicle market.
