Caran d’Ache does a Lord Shiva luxury pen

shiva_big2_BPl1o_65.jpg

Lord Shiva is the third deity of the Hindu triad of great gods, the others being Brahma and Vishnu. Shiva is often referred to as the Destroyer, but it might be better to think of him as the God of Transformation, since he is often associated with creation that comes out of destruction. I don’t know what the reasons are but Lord Shiva is a fashion icon. This one has been created entirely in hand in 800 solid silver. The somber finish is distinctive as the sumptuous pattern evokes a mystery and symbolism of the Shivaiite tradition. Definitely a limited edition, this pen is part of the Artiste Collection. The makers are tight lipped keeping up with the legacy of Caran d’Ache to never spill the beans on their technique and craft. So far only 108 fountain pens have been created, each with a price tag of $15,402.
