RJ-Romain Jerome Moon Invader 40 unveiled
For all those who were fond of the Moon Invader timepiece collection from RJ-Romain Jerome is surely going to go crazy over the latest offering by the brand in the name of the Moon Invader 40. Both the aesthetic sense and the high- tech craftsmanship is being taken care off in the new product which will make you spell bound with its 40mm case. The collection case is made up of steel and fragments from Apollo 11 the design of which look a lot like a space vessel. The ball-and-socket joints on the four “corners” of the case are shaped like the pivoting “feet” of the lunar landing modules.
The Moon Invader comes with its signature design of the cup shaped security screws present on the back of this watch. You can spot both a “meshed” pattern on the dial along with the signature X motif which has been inspired by the woven metal strands on the tires of the lunar roving vehicles. The entire effect that the pattern is being created by is the first of its kind in the world of watch making. The inner bezel ring and the small seconds counter are satin-brushed and the cut-out hands are enhanced with Superluminova. Powered by a mechanical self- winding movement which has been especially developed for RJ-Romain Jerome, this timepiece is truly put of this world. The watch is available in three versions—black PVD, steel and titanium, the Moon Invader 40 timepiece is expected to hit the markets this summer.
New Rolex Deepsea Challenge Watch
Very famous brand the Rolex Deep Sea Special watch that accompanied the Trieste to a historic descent of 10,916 (35,800 feet) in the Mariana trench about 52 years back, created quite a stir among watch connoisseurs. Rolex is all set to revive that glory by designing the Deepsea Challenger that goes even deeper than its former counterpart. The magnificent watch is appointed for a special challenge- that of accompanying National Geographic explorer-in-residence James Cameron as part of the expedition.
The Deepsea Challenger is designed to go a mammoth 12,000 meters/ 39,370 feet below sea level for which the watchmaker has given it a massive thickness to the case. The 51.4mm stainless steel case (28.5mm thick) runs on a Calibre 3135 movement boasts of elements such as 5.3mm screw down, grade 5 titanium caseback, 14.3mm sapphire crystal, Triplock crown, Chromalight lume and Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert with numerals coated in Platinum.

Hublot unveils two limited edition UEFA EURO 2012 timepieces
The world class brand Hublot, the creators of exquisite and exceptional timepieces who’ve been featured here countless times before for their expertise in the art of watch-making, has pulled the veil off its latest creations. Designed to celebrate UEFA EURO 2012 Championship, the new watches will be unveiled at the Kyiv Olympic Stadium.
As for the Hublot UEFA EURO 2012 watches, one comes with a King Gold and ceramic body and sports the blue Ukrainian flag while the other is sculpted from titanium and ceramic and packs the Polish flag. That’s not all. The watch comes with the official UEFA logo on the sapphire crystal case-back with a football graphic. Also, Hublot has been crowned the Official Watch for the UEFA EURO 2012 championship.
Baccara timepiece doubles up as a miniature casino with three games
If you are really fond of Christophe Claret and are in all mood to add one more to your collection, then this one in specific sporting three games: Baccara, roulette and dice game will get you hooked. With a 45 mm dial face, the watch dubbed Baccara, runs on an automatic movement with a BCR09 Caliber. The watch features three “BANKER” windows and three “PLAYER” windows at the front and “3D roulette wheel rotating in unison with the watch movement” at the back. Also every time the shutter opens, for either the player or the bank, a cathedral gong can be see through a caseband window at 2 o’clock.
The timepiece is released in gold and grade 5 black PVD titanium case with black lacquered bezel indexes; finished with gold and grade 5 black PVD titanium crown. Boasting of a 72 hour power reserve and 30 meters of water resistance, the watch is truly a work of art. The dial face sports a dragon motif with Black PVD and hands done up in precious metals.

Limited to nine versions each, the watches cost $214,500 for the rose gold and black PVD titanium case, $219,000 for the white gold and black PVD titanium case and $252,100 for the platinum and black PVD titanium case. The jade version set in rose gold and black PVD titanium case is priced at $225,600 while the white gold and black PVD titanium will cost $230,000.

Hublot Antikythera mechanism timepiece
Many watch lovers across the world have been mystified by the Antikythera mechanism. Hublot brought this 2100-year-old marvel of clock making back to life a while ago, compressing it into a wrist-watch. Only four of these technological marvels rooted back to the ancient world were created by Hublot, one of which will now be up for auction.
Permanent homes have been fixed by the rest of the three in museums across Europe and this last one for auction comes complete with elliptical and planetary gear systems, a tribute to the Antikythera mechanism. Also, the proceeds of the sale will go to the Archaeological Museum of Athens and we’re sure watch-enthusiasts will soon trample over each other in a bid to get their hands on this tribute to a technological of the past, the Antikythera mechanism.
Unique Hublot King Power Miami HEAT chronograph
Hublot, the well known Swiss luxury brand is all set to make a leap towards NBA. Soon after collaborating with Miami Heat’s Dwayne Reed in 2011, they have now unveiled their first King Power Miami HEAT Chronograph. This timepiece is made of 18K King Gold which is obtained by adding five percent platinum to the melting gold resulting in an intense gold. It is contrasted by the color black which makes up for other parts of the watch.
The Miami HEAT timepiece with its 48 mm case features new movement with 48 central counters representing the four quarters in Basketball game. The team’s red color is visible in the cleverly designed bezel which is also made to look like a basketball net complete with a basketball backboard push button. This very first piece in the series, numbered 000/200 also features the numbers of each Miami HEAT player in Jersey font on the back of the watch.
The Miami HEAT is being launched in on set of a limited edition collection only, and Hublot along with Miami Heat Captains, Wade and Hasleem will auction of the watch during “An Intimate Evening with your Miami HEAT” fundraising gala. This gala will feature the whole 2011-12 team as well as live performance by the one and only Patti LaBelle. The entire proceeds of the sale of this timepiece will be given to the Miami HEAT Charitable fund to benefit the South Florida Community.
Bulgari Octo Maserati watch
Bulgari & Maserati are two Italian brands that every luxury lover adores, and when they decide to come together to create a product, it has to be hot property. The collaboration has resulted in the Octo Maserati watch, much like the Hublot-Ferrari affair, but this baby was unveiled at BaselWorld 2012. The watch sports the Maserati Trident icon on its transparent caseback. The dial faced features a “vertical linear design that bears a resemblance to the Maserati’s grille vents”. It is being finished with retrograde counters and a comfortable cushioned calfskin strap the 45mm steel “Octo” case comes with an automatic mechanical movement.
