Konami Cabinets Turn Road Fighters into a 3D Racing Game

Konami is bringing 3D Road Fighters racing game to arcades for the Japanese video games. The company has released a dedicated arcade cabinet with seat mounted 3D glasses across Japan. There even a second set of 3D lenses embedded in the rear of the players seat to keep not just the player but the interested spectators hooked to the game. The 3D effect makes it almost real for both the players as well as viewers. Though the 3D effect can also be switched off and the 3D glasses moved out of the way so players can play in regular old 2D.
The Road Fighters racing game is not only about the 3D mania but can also be used as a simulator for top of the class powerful and fast cars. It gives the gamers a feel of what it is to be behind the wheel of hi-end sports car, including the Lancer Evolution X GRS, Audi R8, Nissan GT-R Spec V, Ford GT and BMW Mini Cooper.
An electrifying chess board
There is something about the chess-board that is aesthetically quite attractive. And people have experimented quite a lot with in the past. We have seen crystals chess boards, magnet chess boards etc. I even saw a girl make a chess board out of carrot and radish when I was in school for a salad dressing completion.
This designer is a jack of All Traits of sorts. He is a designer, architect, and yes a competitive chess player as well. The man has literally electrified the chess board. He has replaced the game pieces with light bulbs of different colors. Each color stands for a different piece. The white bulbs stand for the pawns whereas the other pieces are bigger and the colors include red, blue, and yellow.
When a piece has been captured and killed, it is placed in a non-powered socket that symbolizes its death. These bulbs get lighted up as they are directly plugged into the board, which is supplied with power.
