Karl Lagerfeld Directs a Silent Film for Chanel
Chanel has released a mini silent film “My New Friend Boy” featuring Alice Dellal, promoting the new Chanel Boy handbag collection. Continuing the buzz surrounding silent movie The Artist the only sound accompanying Dellal’s quest for her Boy bag is the dramatic sound of a piano.
As expected, the British model/rocker has brought her rockier edge to the campaign too, as she sports dreadlocks and her trademark ripped tights and leather. This follows from the more traditional front women Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld has selected for campaigns in the past, with all-American actress Blake Lively fronting the Mademoiselle handbag campaign last year.
Miu Miu Reveals ‘The Woman Dress’ Video
Miu Miu has recently unveiled short film “The Woman Dress” starring Italian actress Maya Sansa. Directed by Italian moviemaker Giada Colagrande, the short film is the third installment of the Italian fashion house’s Women’s Tales Saga.
It sees models transforming themselves into dresses and features surrealist cinema influences such as reverse-speak and dreamlike sequences. The film also introduces viewers to the new Miu Miu Cultes sunglasses, which can be preordered now at miumiu.com with a retail price of $390.
Zenith El Primero Chronomaster 1969 Watch
In 2012 Zenith will broaden its popular El Primero Chronomaster line of models with 2 new models, the El Primero Chronomaster 1969 and the El Primero Chronomaster Open Grande Date Moon & Sunphase.
The Chronomaster 1969, a watch reflects both Zenith’s rich heritage and its return to respectable watchmaking in recent years. As with the original 1969 El Primero model, the 30-minute and 12-hour counters feature the same colors as the original 1969 El Primero model.
This watch has a new El Primero movement in the form the Calibre 4061, beating at 36,000vph. This open-heart construction reveals the work of Zenith movement design engineers and watchmakers who redesigned the movement’s escapement to sit at 10 o’clock. The Zenith El Primero Chronomaster 1969 Chronograph comes presented on a rubber-lined alligator strap with either pin buckle or optional triple folding clasp.
Monica Bellucci launching lipsticks for D&G
Monica Bellucci has teamed up with Dolce & Gabbana for a limited edition lipstick line designed to reflect a woman’s “state of mind”.
After the announcement of Kate Winslet’s charity makeup line for French beauty giant Lancôme last year, Italian star Bellucci is the latest actress to venture into the realm.
The idea for the collection was to create different shades, different colors depending on your mood of the day, your state of mind,” the actress told WWD February 17. He loves all shades in the collection and feel drawn to the different colors, depending on how he feels.
The advertising campaign for the Monica Lipstick Collection was captured by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, known for their work with the likes of Louis Vuitton, Missoni and Giorgio Armani. Evoking classic Italian cinema, it is set to run in publications across Italy, America, the UK, Russia and the Middle East this May. Bellucci is also a new face of the Italian fashion house’s beauty collection, joining other Dolce & Gabbana Make Up actress front women Scarlett Johansson and Felicity Jones.

Ricky Martin and Nicki Minaj for MAC Viva Glam
The latest celebrity to launch her own makeup range for Viva Glam MAC is Nicki Minaj, along with singer Ricky Martin.
According to their website every cent of the selling price of MAC Viva Glam lipstick and lipglass is donated to the MAC AIDS Fund. Nicki’s satin lipstick, “Bright Yellow Pink,” is a creamy, vibrant Barbie pink and retails for $17.50. Since its inception in 1994, the charity has raised about $235 million to assist men, women and children living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
Hublot King of Russia watch launched
Hublot is all set to make its mark stronger in Russia with the limited edition King Power model called “King of Russia”. Limited to just 25 pieces the watch comes in a 18-carat King Gold 48 mm casing. Sporting a white dial, with the famous Kremlin’s towers star, the watch comes with an openworked chronograph movement. At the back you can see an “emblazoned with a of St. Basel’s Cathedral design in gold on a white background, encircled by an engraved inscription that says KING OF RUSSIA – Special edition”.
Running with the Hublot caliber HUB4214 movement, the watch comes with 10 meters of water resistance and a 42-hour power reserve. The chronograph is finished with black Hornback alligator leather strap stitched on black rubber and an 18-carat King Gold King Power deployant buckle. The watch will be available on request that too only at its Hublot boutique at Boca Raton in Florida, USA.
Fabergé Oeuf Cadeau
Fabergé introduces the Oeuf Cadeau, a polished 18 ct rose gold egg, tied with an exuberant ribbon of diamonds and fastened with a bow. Measuring all of 22mm in height this keepsake pendant is also available in white and yellow gold with the message of I love you, Jet t’aime and Ti amo. All Fabergé collections are available through the Fabergé transactional website or in stores in London, Geneva and Hong Kong.
Rihanna’s 24-karat polish to be auctioned
As per Rihanna, her fans flashy Grammy Awards nails will have the opportunity to get their hands on a limited edition bottle of the 24-karat gold “Amor 24″ polish she sported to the February 12 ceremony.
During the recent awards ceremony the singer’s hands earned as much attention as the plunging Emporio Armani dress she co-designed thanks to the varnish, which retails at $5,000. At-home gel manicure company Red Carpet Manicure created the product. A few limited edition bottles of the actual varnish will go to charity auction before a more affordable version of “Amor 24″ hits RedCarpetManicure.com this spring for $9.99.
Rihanna, who customized her gold nails with tiny dollar signs, isn’t the only star to have favored flashy digits of late. Katie Holmes and Blake Lively have also been seen wearing gold varnish, while Madonna showcased gold and black patterned talons during her 2012 Super Bowl halftime performance earlier this month.
Burberry Prorsum Braided iPad Case
Burberry-Prorsum has released a beautiful braided leather iPad-case. It is made in Italy and comes it two colorways. Made in Italy, the 100% naturally tanned calf leather case features a simple Artisan finish braided detail on the top fold with hand-punched threaded edge details.
The interior is lightly padded with a secure snap-button closure and Burberry-Prorsum logo embossed on the front. It is available in variety of colors Bright Larch and Pollen; the case can be bought for a little less than $800 from Burberry online store.
