During cocktails, guests like Martha Stewart, John McEnroe, Pink, and Jimmy Buffet were treated to an assortment of appetizers prepared on-site by chefs like April Bloomfield, David Chang, Tom Colicchio, Fergus Henderson, and Jonathan Waxman. Michael Kors, as always, judged costumes; Alice Waters of Chez Panisse fame was awarded the “Wind Beneath My Wings” award, and Gloria Estefan and the Miami Sound Machine finished off the night with an unforgettable concert. This year, you too can attend and rub elbows with guests like Carmelo Anthony, enjoy a menu crafted by the one and only Rick Bayless, and dance along to music icon Stevie Wonder.

Apart from the beautiful looks she is well known for her role on Project Runway, and as the wife of music artist Seal (and the mother of four), but she also throws one unforgettable Halloween party every year. Sometimes it’s in LA (as it was in ’08 and ’09), while in 2010, her 11th annual soiree took place at New York’s LAVO on Halloween Night. Dressed up in red and purple as a robotic superhero, Klum mingled with guests like Ke$ha, Sports Illustrated model Brooklyn Decker, Ashanti, and Kim Kardashian, and sipped on Absolut Bloodys. This year, Klum is taking the red carpet and her over-the-top costumes to Las Vegas for the first time, hosting this year’s party at Tao at The Venetian on Saturday the 29th with one of her favorite DJs, QuestLove. The green velour dress really stood out in the 1954 Western classic in which she played Kay Washington, a gambler’s wife.
The film on ther contrary received a very cold response when released; the critics stated that the best part of the movie was the charismatic screen presence of Miss Monroe. Julien’s Auctions house in China made another big deal with the sale of the most memorable and famous white dress worn by Marilyn Monroe in ˜The Seven Year Itch for $4.6 million this summer.
Jack Tweed spends $500,000 on a flat

Jade Goody hasn’t left anything to her husband (Jack Tweed) in her will. Jack who is under curfew from 7am to 7pm as part of his probation for attacking a 16year old boy with a golf club is buying a 350,000 pounds (US $496k) in a private estate alongside Premier League Footballers and models.
He agreed for the deal for the flat last Thursday, four days after his wife Jade Goody passed away due to cancer. Among the new neighbors in the exclusive development (which is close to his mum’s home in Buckhurst Hill, Essex) will be England striker Jermain Defoe and glamour girl Danielle Lloyd. The 21 year old has managed to earn 140,000 pounds ($200k) from recent photo shoots. A pal of Jack’s quoted, “Jack’s done the deal. The mortgage is approved and he loves the flat.”
Paris Hilton orders a $400,000 diamond encrusted dashboard for her pink Bentley

The Hilton heiress wanted to buy a Bentley for a long time, especially a pink one. In December 2008 she bought for Christmas this extremely pink expensive car. And not just that, she had the body and hubcaps of her Continental LT spray painted Pepto Bismol pink, replaced the trademark Bentley initials with her own, and had the windows tinted so that the paparazzi couldn’t snap photos of her inside. It’s worth $200,000.

The trip, which runs from December 1-6 with an optional extension to December 11, offers an in-depth look at current social and development projects in India. The trip will support the Gandhi Memorial School project aimed at protecting children from child labor and exploitation. Group members traveling commit to contributing $1000 per person, for a collective goal of raising $10,000 for the Gandhi Memorial School to create either a new classroom or water well.
The trip begins with a visit to M.K Gandhi’s residence in Mumbai, visits to Women’s India Trust and MarketShare, organizations focused on women’s empowerment, education and vocational development, the group contribution and visit to Sunanda Gandhi Memorial School in Kolhapur and a meeting with Verala HIV prevention program. The optional extension includes a visit to the Taj Mahal and a tour of Old and New Delhi including Delhi Street Walk guided by former street children now supported by important youth development programs. The experience is not voluntourism but is instead an opportunity to travel and see a place from a different angle than one might usually experience.
