Open to guests only, the comfortable indoor and outdoor dining space allows for an intimate meal consisting of locally sourced ingredients and premier wines of the region, which will be the stars of your dining experience. The menu changes regularly depending on what ingredients are in season, but stand-out dishes include the indulgent but light charcuterie plate, roasted beet salad and the outstanding rib eye.
Pastry Chef Khambay Khamsyvoravong has revamped the menu to offer savory and refreshing pairings of food and wine that will start you off on the right foot for a day of tastings. Her touch is confident, but delicate, with each pairing, putting upscale twists on classics like tomato soup and grilled cheese and ravioli. Its location in beautiful downtown Glen Ellen puts you in the center of the tranquil town to discover all the area has to offer.

But makers of Italian public transport company QC Termemilano want you to know how relaxing a ride in a tram can actually be. For this experiment, they have come up with the world’s first tram sauna.
Although its looks like a run-of-the-mill tram on the outside, the tram features hot coals, wooden benches, and a full view of the surroundings, because of open windows. And don’t you worry about being skimpily clad on a train; the tam runs in the middle of an actual spa complex.
Relaxation Meets Public Transport In The World’s First Tram Sauna
The next time your long commute threatens to take the wind out of your sails, remember this post. An Italian public transport company has taken the first steps to prove that commuting need not be a headache. In fact, they seem to suggest that it could be rather relaxing.
The designers of Italy’s public transport company QC Termemilano have redesigned a regular tram cart and turned it into sauna. Unveiled in Milan, this tram sauna is the first of its kind in the world. Inside, you will find all the things you have come to associate with the spa experience and a bit more. There are hot coals and wooden benches. And the large tram windows look out onto beautiful surroundings.
According to a representative from QC Termemilano, the tram sauna has been designed to show that public transportation can overcome the frustration factor and become a place to relax instead.
However, this tram cart no longer moves around. Can we really consider a stationary tram cart to be a symbol of the public transportation system? It stands within a spa complex in Italy, awaiting a new breed of passengers who are not in a hurry to get anywhere; they just want a relaxing time at this unique sauna.
Harrods Pet Spa woos the pampered pets
Pampering of pets is moving to a new level with growing demand of luxury resorts and spas for them. Harrods in London has come with a new ultra luxurious pet spa for your pets. Redefining the standard of luxury for your loved pets, this spa is located at the fourth floor of Harrods and will open its doors this week. The spa will offer services ranging from nutrition consultations to nail-painting, you name it and they have got it. For ultimate pampering many relaxation treatments are offered like Thalassotherapy mud bath that costs £49.95 ($80), full body grooming upwards of £85 ($136), luxury massage £125 ($200), and Reiki healing £175 ($281).
Plan Unveiled for aWay® Spa
The first W Retreat in Southeast Asia, the W Retreat Koh Samui, has divulged plans for it’s aWay Spa.
Spanning 576 square meters and comprising seven treatment rooms, the spa will feature a Thaimazcal herbal sauna/steam experience, a first of its kind in Asia. It’s essentially a ritual to purify the body and soul based on traditional Mexican-style Temazcals – but at the W it’s given an Asian twist through the use of local herbs.
Elsewhere you’ll find seven wellness packages including baths, facials, body wraps, scrubs, massages, detoxifying juices and light bites, as well as a host of beauty treatments that use Dermalogica.
