Montblanc’s Tribute to Queen Elizabeth I
Montblanc is all set to come up with Patron of Art Edition celebrating the legendary Queen Elizabeth I’s royal stature. Queen Elizabeth I built up 16th century England into a world power and her legacy is celebrated with two fountain pens the “Limited Edition Patron of Art Elizabeth I” is limited to 4810 fountain pens and a finer edition is limited to 888 writing instruments.
Both pens are sheltered in lacquer modeled on the monarch’s royal garments. The Tudor rose and the cross of the British Crown are also featured on the cap and the clip is topped with a synthetic green garnet cabochon. The words “Video et taceo” are engraved on the cap ring.
The 4810 fountain pens have a body and cap of black precious resin with gold-plated inlay. The Elizabeth I Limited Edition 888 is a 750 solid gold fountain pen with a red lacquered barrel and cap. The 18K gold nib features a bejeweled gold crown in which Elizabeth I ascended the throne in 1559.
Caran d’Ache divulges its Masculine Side
Caran d’Ache the renowned pen maker has pioneered a set of limited-edition writing instruments dedicated to men. Defined by dark ebony details set with geometric patterns, the Varius Link Series 1 offers a fountain, roller, and ballpoint pen (preliminary at $1,600) and mechanical pencil styles, in a numbered series of 1,001 each. Fine leaves of mother-of-pearl have been inlayed into the ebony body, with threads of white gold intertwined around the barrel and cap. A small collection of matching accessories, including a belt, cufflinks, and a lighter are also being offered in the Varius Link Series.
Chong Hing Jewellers unmask MontBlanc’s Limited Edition Fountain Pens
As a tribute to China’s world-renowned Beijing Opera, Chong Hing Jewellers is showcasing MontBlanc’s limited edition Beijing Opera fountain pens.
The red mark on the cap and the nib symbolizes Hou Yi, the archer of gods who represents bravery, loyalty, and integrity. Made from white gold with black lacquer, this pen is decorated with four rings of diamonds {5 5/8″ (14.4 cm)} with MontBlanc’s logo laid in an exquisite mother-of-pearl setting.
Loiminchay’s Calligraphy II fountain pens
Loiminchay, the pen company known for its modern interpretation of ancient Asian culture, has introduced a new design in its Chinese calligraphy-themed writing instruments.
Loiminchay’s Calligraphy II is the second in a three-part Calligraphy series of writing instruments depicted in the style of Mi Fu, that come in white or rose gold, and are decorated with xingshu (Chinese calligraphy) characters. Each pen is priced at $15,000 and is available in a limited edition of 28 sets only.
