Pearls
World’s largest pearls to be auctioned

As a part of the Dubai spring jewelry sale, Christie’s will be putting some interesting pearl jewelry under the hammer as part of the nostalgic eminence of the region’s pearl diving past. The highlight of the same is a drop-shaped pearl colored in silver and grey hues that weighs close to 60 carats. The pearl also has the distinction of being one of the largest natural saltwater pearls to date, and will be made available as a pendant on a diamond-studded chain necklace. The pre sale estimates for the pearl is set at $250,000.
The auction will see sale of close to one hundred jewelry lots, which should be worth between $5 million and $6.5 million.
