Myers Sells his Superyacht Senses to Larry Page of Google

Sir Douglas Myers

Senses are the 59 meter luxury super yacht which had been cruising around the world with its Kiwi owner Sir Douglas Myers for some years now. The news is that Myers, who described Senses as an adventure boat, has sold the luxury motor boat to the Google co-founder Larry Page. Senses had been listed on the Boat International website for $60.5 million.

The super yacht has stylish interiors which have been finished by famous French designer Philippe Starck. The split level decks are home to sun lounging areas. There are sheltered indoor and outdoor dining areas, as well as a gym and on-deck Jacuzzi. The boat provides luxurious accommodation for ten guests and 14 crew members. The yacht carries pleasure boats of different sizes for the guests.

Myers could not be reached for comment as he is supposed to be holidaying on his Matauri Bay farm. Page’s company, Google, refused to comment on his pricey purchase. Allan Jouning, a yacht broker who operates in the New Zealand super yacht circles confirmed the sale of Senses and said that Page took delivery before the New Year.
