Four Seasons to Open Five New Luxury Hotels in 2012

The Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts already boasts some of the world’s most exclusive escapes. In 2012 they are set to open five more in diverse locations such as Canada and China.

Opening this summer is The Four Seasons Hotel Toronto which is in close proximity to where their landmark property stood for 50 years. It will be the brand’s new flagship, continuing the Four Seasons’ tradition of the ultimate in luxury hospitality. In addition to 259 guest rooms and suites the architecturally significant towers will be home to signature Four Seasons residences.

The Four Seasons St. Petersburg also opening this summer is truly a palace. Originally built in 1820 as the residence of Princess Lobanova-Rostovskaya, the impressive edifice is situated just two blocks from the Winter Palace and Hermitage Museum. St. Petersburg’s only true luxury hotel will mix classic Russian Imperial style with modern amenities like a glass-topped spa and two stylish restaurants. Spring will also see the opening of the Four Seasons Baku in nearby Azerbaijan, where an influx of oil money has resulted in a chic cosmopolitan capital on the Caspian Sea.

The Four Seasons Hotel Guangzhou and the Four Seasons Hotel Pudong, Shanghai. The former is located at the top of IFC, the tallest building in southern China and the country’s newest architectural icon. A vast sky-lit “atrium lobby” on the 70th floor, a destination restaurant on the 100th level, and the city’s largest guest accommodations with sky-high views characterize this refined hotel. Meanwhile, the Shanghai property evokes the city’s decadent Art Deco era. The eleven floors of the 21st Century Tower are a haven of “sleek, contemporary comfort” with wall-to-wall views of the ever-changing Pudong skyline.
